Hi, I have a 2006, M3 and the alarm keeps going off when I lock the car with the button on the key, in the instruction book it says 'Press Twice' to stop this but this doesn't do the trick.
I have found if I lock the car by manually turning the key twice when I lock it this seems to work, but of course the other day when in a bit of a hurry I forgot to do this and when I got back to the car an hour later here is the car alarm merrily bleeping away!

I posted this thread last night but I am new to this forum and inadvertently posted it on someone else's thread ...(Sorry) I did get an answer though that said, Bonnet Switch, which I'm afraid I didn't understand so if someone could enlighten me that would much appreciated.

    Many Thanks.

First thing to do is replace the battery in the alarm fob... have you got a spare alarm fob you can test?

I think I remember reading somewhere that this is a common fault. Try disconnecting the pin switch for the bonnet and lock with the key (remote) and wait! I think that should sort it.

    Hope that helps.
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!
