As per my title I have recently put an HID conversion into my 2006 e46 convertible and I need new non yellow sidelight bulbs. I'm thinking of LED bulbs but I have read horror stories of poor performance, dash errors, turning yellow after a few weeks and excessive heat etc

So I am looking for recomendations of sidelight bulbs that you guys have bought used and are happy with, and with photos if you have any. If you guys recommend them then where you bought them and how much you paid?

Moderator appologies if you feel this should go in another section but thought it would be better here for all different models!!
    Thanks as ever!!!

OP, you could have CCFLs and take out the side light bulbs completely ...bit involved if they are sealed units.

In a perfect world I would agree with you I really want some angel eyes but not enough to go through the hassle of baking my headlamps to split them!! So new sidelights bulbs it is then!
Might have a go with philips blue vision......

Street, Mstyle do led sidelight bulbs but they arn't cheap, check out their website. I've got the bluevision ones and they're not much differant to the originals, just slightly whiter.

Martyn D hanks for that honest view onthe philips blue vision. I would rather have a "normal" bulb to not have to bother with load resistors etc bt LED's do loom White!!
Does anybody have LED sidelights fitted they could
post a photo of? And let me know how much hassle it was to fit resistors?
    Thanks

I have some white sidelights on my car. They are not LED, but look just like them! They have never given me a problem so far. I used LED sidelights for a day and my dash came up with a warning light so took them off.

    Pics to follow...

P.s I'll get the name too

    Get rich or die tryin'...
