Anyone ever retrofitted a rear view mirror with the garage door opening thingi on it.

Was it hard, was it expensive.
Any ideas as to where to buy the parts and what parts needed.

I believe mine is auto dipping and has the red flashing light underneath for the alarm.

    Thanks

I know you can get a compass display interior mirror for the E90, but never come across one with door opener. Where did you see this?

Should have said I would like the compass on the mirror also.

The door opener mirror has 3 buttons on it and you program your garage door opener into the mirror and then all you have to do is push the button on the mirror to open the garage door.

I saw this on another BMW site, which one I hear u ask, duhhhh I have forgotten, but a Google should do the trick.

It's £439 going by Realoem and then cross referencing the part number on a main dealer site!

    See here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...26&hg=51&fg=95

    Hi Silverwolf

Have you had any joy with the homelink mirror ???? I really want to do the same to my car. I've seen them on flee bay for about £200 + plus postage, but it comes from the states.

Would be interested to you if you had any luck.

    Regards

    Chris

I read somewhere that it is not guaranteed that the frequencies on the Home link unit are compatible with UK door openers unless it's a Chamberlain.
