Hi there, I am new to this forum, and have only owned my bmw since April, so please be gentle!
    I have a 2005 120d E87.
For some reason recently the 12V lighter sockets have been staying on constantly, where as previously they have been ignition switched. I use the 12v feed from a socket for the control cable on my amplifier and for the circuit my DRL's are connected to. This obviously means that now my sub and DRL's are staying on constantly and draining the battery, so temporarily I put a switch in the feed wire just so I can turn the amp and DRL's off when I leave the car.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue, or why it's happened?
Thank you, any feedback is highly appreciated!

    Hi friend,

Going from the information you have provided i would follow the 12v lighter socket to the origin of the power supply visually checking the circuit for change.

    Hope this helps.
