Hi, I have recently bought my E60 535d M Sport, and I notice that the LED's & strip light above the headlamps do not work.
I thought maybe these were DRL's but I don't have that option on my i-drive.
I do not have any DRL's
    My Headlights are not xenon.
I have tried the switch in all positions.
I have checked another car and they come on with normal headlamps.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Kev

No idea. I'd be happy with them off though because they look poo imo.

The eyebrow lights don't work with certain versions of the car software. There are a stream of updates, perhaps one every 6 months and there was a bug in one version where the eyebrow lights fail to work.

So if your car was made at the wrong time, or received a software update at the wrong time this is the cause. A software update will fix it - but it's pretty much a dealer only job.

Thanks guys. Went to my local BMW dealer yesterday, they say they need the car for 4 hours but can only charge 1.5 so £135....to turn some lights on??!! They will stay not working unless I find an alternative!
    Cheers

Always worth trying at a BMW independent specialists that has a Autologic scanner, they can perform software updates and could well be cheaper.

Well it is as clear as mud!!
I have seen E60's where LED's come on with headlights, others which have got them as DRL's, and then mine don't work at all!
I presume this is all down to dealer programming?
    Cheers

Could well be so, there's every possibility the previous owner had it disabled.

Old one, but, it could be reset(default) VIA NCSexpert. mine had the same thing and then Indy turned them on.
