Ok so recently aquired my new motor, and this fault keeps coming up albeit intermittently when I turn ignition on , iv cleaned each one and checked the fuse, it did get better in the last few days till I washed it again, but they all go off or all work, anyways I'm thinking of buying some kind of diagnostic tool for this and future jobs, but there's so many around, sOmeone recommended the Austell ms310, would this diagnose this fault ? Or is it just engine codes? Don't feel the need to invest in GT1 or INPa Bavaria tech just yet.

    Advice please.

BMW have a code reader they plug in which will tell them which one is faulty, they then swap it to another location and test again to make sure the fault has moved. The only fix is a replacement sensor.

You can listen for clicking beside all the sensors, the faulty one should be silent.

Each of the sensors are clicking but no internal sound or picture info.

Is there a code reader I can buy to diagnose the fault myself ?

nope cheap handheld code readers only connect to and read the engine DME, you need a lappy with inpa or similar on it which can connect to all the cars modules...
330i sport a big chunk of berlin...
