    Hi,

I've been looking to upgrade the amber front indicator bulbs on my car to the variety that appear clear/silver, and only show amber when lit up (to remove the fried egg look).
I've spent a couple of hours looking into this, but haven't found any obvious replacements.
The original bulbs are a fitment known as 585 and are 21watt. They are larger than the typical variety which go in the side indicators (type 501 and 5 watt). Here's what's currently fitted:-

It looks like the 582 might fit, but I'm not sure:-

Has anyone here done this upgrade and if so what bulbs did you use and where did you get them?

    Thanks in advance
    Rich

    Thanks for the quick response.

Martyn - they appear to be different from most other versions which use bayonet - even most listings show it as having bayonet, but it's definitely a push fit as I took it out this afternoon to look.

Robbie - those look similar apart from the black adapter on the end. Are these what you've fitted to yours?

    Thanks

Just did a search and it seems the offset pins are only on the pre-facelift, the ones Robbie linked look like the correct ones

Those "black adapters" are just plastic protectors, they are the "wedge" type push fit bulb.

Just waiting for some photo's to load (really slow at the moment) to show what my old one's look like.
