I have 2005 320i. Recently the reverse lights stopped working. I thought this would be a simple case of changing the bulbs, which I did, and still no reverse lights.
I checked the fuses and they seemed fine. I then checked the wiring in the boot, I noticed at least 3 severed wires.
Today I took my car to the local garage and they repaired all the damaged wires, still no reverse lights.
The garage also checked the fuses and also tested the reverse light switch and according to them the fuses and reverse light switch all seem fine.
I am starting to think the footwell module my need replacing, is this expensive, and more importantly are there any other tests I can do before spending cash I don't have on expensive repairs?
