    Hi Guys,

My 730d has been giving me a few problems lately and today I got in the car went to turn the music up and nothing. In fact no music....? The I-Drive had frozen on the Entertainment screen. So I parked up turned off and back on, nothing. Ended up taking out the battery cable to the fusebox and it made the menu's work again. I can use everything apart from the audio as I have no sound and it doesn't even switch on, the trip computer has no numbers and the sat nav is a blank screen.

Somebody has told me that it could be the Sat-Nav unit but it appears to be ejecting the disc fine and has power going to it. I think it could be the AMP as I've read a few post's where they do go but that is the Logic 7. This is the standard Harman Becker one.

Has anybody had this before? If so what did you do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Danny

Just a update. I tried another amp today and no joy still the same. Could it be the GPS system?

I'm in Gravesend fella. I managed to fix the problem after a week of troubleshooting. It turned out to be the svc module. Managed to source one from ebay and replaced it and it managed to work!

I've got this problem at the mo. I've been living with it for 6 months or so but want it sorting. Been told I need a new nat unit to the tune of £1200 new or c. £300 s/hand.

I'm interested in the svc module comment. I can't seem to find any info on it though on the net? Have you got any links I could look at? Is it easy to fit or did you get garage involved?

    Cheers

E6x are prone to water infiltration which can cause fire in the boot. A faulty PDC module is sometimes the cause of the iDrive troubles.
