Hey everybods. Im Gez, just bought an 04 E61 530d and im having a few issues. Can anyone help with the following......

    1. It has xenon headlight that auto level and go round corners sometimes. They keep packing up, it appears that the n/s is pointing low. Also when this happens the green light next to the headlamp switch flashes.

    2. If im driving in the day with the automatic headlights on, I sometimes get the battery warning light come on for a few seconds and the headlights come on regardless of how bright it is. The battery warning light then goes off but the headlamps stay on.

    3. The drivers window has stopped going all the way up on the 2nd click of the switch and I am getting a window warning light on the dash.

    4. The heated rear window isnt working. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. Im not getting any warnings, it simply doesnt work.
Appologies if you have answered these questions before but I cant find any refernce on the forums.

    Thanks for your help peeps

    Gez

    1. The green flashing light is an indication of a fault with the system. Something you'll need to get checked out by an independent or a dealer if you can't look at it yourself

    2. The lights coming on regardless of how bright it is could be a fault with the sensor in the back of the rear view mirror. Take them out of auto in the mean time and this won't happen.

    3. Sorry can't help with this one, it could be something to do with the actuator

    4. This is likely to be a break in the cable between the tail gate and the car. A common fault with E61's and it can affect other things too. Your aerial reception and your opening rear glass hatch.
