    Hi all
How can I tell if my xenon headlamps are oem or after market.
    They are angel eyes.

the reason I ask is i changed my angel eye markers to LED ones a few months back and now I want to change my dipped beam bulb.
Now ive checked and apparantly I need D2 bulb but when I saw a picture of it it doesnt look like the one in my car.

Im pretty sure mine looked like a normal H7 bulb????
But when I bought the LED angel eye marker lights, I can recall the information on the sellers site stated that it was only for oem angel lights other wise it wont work.... so as it works i would assume mine are oem.

Now im not sure whether the bulb i took out of the headlamp housing in order to get to my angel eye marker was the main beam or dipped beam.... it could have been the main beam.
I remember I had to remove one bulb in order to get to the angel eye marker bulb. Now that bulb I removed first Im not sure whether that was the full/main beam or my dipped beam bulb.
If it was the dipped beam then it does not look like a D2 bulb.
It looked like a h7 bulb.... could that be my full beam bulb.

I will have a look in a couple of days time when Im free but in the mean time I was wondering if anyone could help me.
What is the easiest way of finding out whether the xenons are oem or aftermarket?
    Thanks

My oem xenon's have D2 for the dipped beam and H7 for main beam.

Also most after market xenon's have the ballast mounted away from the light unit, the oem ones have them mounted on the back of light unit.

im sure it has to be a D2, gonna have a look in a couple of days. Its just that as I was looking on the net for replacement bulbs, I searched for bulb type which came up as "D2" but the picture did not look like the bulb I took out in order to access the angel light marker bulb but I think that bulb must have been the main beam cos it looked like a H7 bulb.
I just thought that if it was an aftermarket xenon unit then it may need a different bulb but as I mentioned in my previous post the angel eye LED upgrade I purchased a few months ago was only for oem units otherwise it would not have worked (apparantly).
    Cheers
