Hey,Sorry if this has been coverd before, did have a lookie on the forum but couldnt see it.

I have a March 2004 330ci which has Manual fold wing mirrors. Am i right in thinking that if i just chage the current drivers side switch for the one that has the button to fold the mirrors, and change the maunal mirrors for the auto folding ones that this will work???

    OR

Will i have to change the wiring lume aswell???

    Cheers in advance

Rather than start a new thread, I'll bump this one.

I also have a 2004 330 with MANUAL FOLD/electronic adjustment mirrors but intend/want to get electrically folding ones.

    I have the following:

    - Electric memory seats
    - Mirrors that ADJUST electronically, but FOLD manaully
    - Post-facelift E46 Convertible, so the mirror covers with the little ribs on the top

So - to clarify if I buy a set of non-M3 mirrors with the folding motors and the little control switch, say from ebay, I should be able to:

    - Remove the old ones (does anyone have a link to a DIY of this please??)
    - Can I replace convertible mirror covers on non-convertible units?
    - Will the pins be the same on both sets of mirrors? When did the pins change?
    - Is the cabling for the new button on the switch in the arm handle of the door already?

Thanks a million to anyone who replies, I'm *REALLY* getting confused here!

Alternatively, if anyone has a how-to guide for the whole process that I've missed, it would be massively appreciated!!

I would like to put electric folding m3 mirrors on my 330d saloon. However, I do not have electric seats or the folding options.

Please advise me on how to go about this mod.

    Thanking you

    Gordon
