hey all..cant work out the problem wit my passenger mirror..it used too automatically point down when i put my car into reverse..this has stopped..also when i try too adjust it ther is no movement..yet when the switch is in my drivers side mirror mode...both mirrors move at once!!...i replaced the whole switch..still the same...had a quick look at the cables..well the ones i could see...no obvious breaks!!..any ideas welcome

The passenger mirror on mine only points down if the switch is set to the drivers side mirror adjust position! I don't think this helps your problem of the mirror adjustment though! Sounds like a wire's been crossed in the switch somewhere!

yeah thats rite mate..will only move down when the switchis in drivers side mode...think ican only be a split wire sumwhere..problem with these things is the labour nvolved taking off the door panels etc too start tracing a break...just wondering if ther ws other things i could try first before getting raped by an indys labour charges!!cheers anyway mate

Not sure mate - short of taking the mirror off and testing the end wires with a voltmeter - that might tell you if one of the wires isn't conducting properly, but wont tell you exactly where in the loop the break is!
