My 330 ground to a halt today, rescued by a nice AA man, but my alternator is only pushing out 10ish volts and the red battery light is permanently on. I have seen on an American forum that someone has fixed this by replacing the voltage regulator in the alternator body. Does anyone think this will solve my problem and can point me to a supplier of a voltage reg for a 120amp lucas pt no 401110761. Cheers

It does sound like the voltage regulator has failed. You can pick a Bosch one up from the dealer.
    Part: 12317559183
    Price: £91.50

Thinking about it, you may have a point. The regulator is there to cap the voltage only. If OP is getting 10V, then the stator windings have failed.
