While quietly sitting in my car yesterday I noticed my mirror motors whirring! no key in the ignition or touching the mirror switch, the mirrors on both sides moving independantly, coming to rest at the mirrors full travel, trying to move them back to their correct position was futile as they carried on moving after fighting with the toggle switch. moving the left right switch made no difference, so far the mirrors move about all day coming to rest for a while then moving back and forwards on their own. They do this with the key in the ignition or not, I have memory seats, not fold up mirrors, the car is a 2004 coupe M Sport any clues anybody, New switch or more serious?

Try using White Spirit to clean them LOL

Seriously, i think you should first attempt at looking at the wiring diagram for the mirrors and then check each connection in turn Door panel removal maybe nessesary which is easy enough to do.
