    Hi all

Hopefully someone can help or offer advice.

    E46 2004 325 CiSe convertible.

A problem started yesterday when on a long motorway drive in the wet. I opened the drivers door window slightly to let in some air, when I closed the window the drivers door mirror glass moved to the down position. It would not return using the button, only by pushing the glass manually. The problem is still occurring today.

    Any help would be appreciated.

There is a memory repair kit available for the symptoms you describe which means changing the motors out. Not cheap as it can cost a couple of hundred pounds so you might want to find another mirror from a breaker and change the motors from that.

    Thanks for your advice.

I've got my oil service booked in for 6th Jan at http://www.iridiumengineering.co.uk/ so I'll check with Sean Murphy there too for his take on it. I probably won't need to open the window too much between now & then!

    Thanks again.

Tried the window today & the mirror stayed in position. Maybe there was some water in a connection that has dried out now?
