Similar to the guy on here posting about '2002 E46 320d - rear light prob'. My indicators (both sides, rear) are playing havock!

It's checked the bulbs are ok and sure enough they are. It's clear what the problem is by the look of the dodgy burnt out sockets (again BOTH sides) that's causing the problems.

    Here are the photos:

Any suggestions about what I shoul do to fix the problem? Is it something more serious that requires an auto elec to look at it or is it just something that needs repairing/replcaing with it being a 96k miles car?

Anyone else had this problem? How have you solved it?

    Thanks

Right Chris. BMW sell the repair kits which includes new wiring and connector block.
My local dealer even keeps them in stock...

    AWESOME!!!

So a common problem? Any idea what I'm asking for, the part number or rough idea of cost? Or can it be an ebay or other supplier job?

Is it easy to fit and does it completely solve the problem?

    Thanks again

    Its not that much Chris....

I can get you the part number on monday. You basically solder in the new wiring and it clips into the new connector block. Are the pins in the rear bulb holder burnt as well?

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'll look forward to hearing the details of the fix on Monday.

Yes unfortunately it's affected the 1 pin in the rear connector block too

What advice would you give on this?

    Thanks

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks again for your help.

I'll have to check what the connector blocks are like on both sides. How much were you wanting for the one you've got? Which side is it you've got?

    Cheers

Half as in... it'll do one side or you mean half of one side?
How much do you want for the connector block?

    Cheers
