I am going to attempt to change my manual aircon to the climate control. I have the climate control unit (£40). I still need to get the wiring loom. I have searched around for a while now trying to find a bit more information from someone who has done this, every thread that has been started just seems to go dead. Here is a link to the conversion kit.

    1. Has anyone done this?
    2. Was the wiring loom simple to plug in?

Anymore info on this would be appreciated

    Thanks

I'm not sure on the e46 but have a check through real OEM and see if the actual heater boxes are different betwee the two. It depends how many flaps are motorised on yours at present, you may be able to fit extra actuators to your existing box but if it's anything like the e36 then it'll be a whole seperate box (dash out job).
Have a look through my project thread, around page 23, it'll give you a good idea of what's what depending on just how different the e46 system is.

I'm sure it's going to be a dash out job. I will have a look at your diy as soon as I can get On to my laptop. There has got to be a few others that have done this. Thanks again, hopefully get a few others commenting.
