    Hi everyone,
    my 530d is draining the battery,everything works and it runs perfectly but I do notice a fan runninig when I switch off seems to be cabin related in behind dash I know they do this but something is draining.Please help!

    have a search on here for the "hedhehog", "FSR" or "final STage Resistor". that'll be your culprit mate. Something you can fix yourself too

    That would be your final stage resistor(FSU,FSR,Hedgehog) thats at fault...You will need to replace this and it should sort out your battery drain

    I have just removed "hedgehog" its very hot so I guess faulty as the car has been parked up all night.Please does anyone know part no. for 530d e39. The unit is a valeo so I presume is a replacement I would like to make sure I get the correct one and not just same as. Maybe I should call BMW to check,thanks again
