    Hi all, first post !

Just took delivery of a 2004 330d coupe, lovely car but . .
With less than 24hrs ownership managed to hit a pheasant at about 80
There is no apparent damage and I thought I'd got away with it but on way home in dark the headlamps seem low, esp left handside, where said pheasant met it's untimely death !!
The headlamps are the auto levelling xenons, can't see any physical damage, nore does anything feel loose, is there a way to re set them? On start up they both move up and down as they find a level, just not the right one !!

    Thanks Dave

they get their level from a sensor on the axle iirc...could the bird have damaged this sensor or did it go over the car?
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

The headlights are controlled by sensors on the suspension arms, see here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...09&hg=31&fg=05

You need to check the links out for damage

Firstly, apologies for the late reply, secondly I appear to have two accounts so this one is from my ElwoodTZW one.

Many thanks, will have a look for the sensor, the peasant hit bumper just under headlamp and what was left went under the car so it could well be it's damaged the sensor!!

    Again thanks for the replies

    Dave
