Have a really niggly problem with my rear wiper in that it stops working until i open and close the rear lid and window several times and work the locks then it will work until the lid is opened again and then i have to go through the same routine again! where are the interlock switches? are they on the rear window or on the hatch lid?? otherwise this car is a dream fun to drive economical and extremely practical and i manage to keep my ageing street cred!!

from experiance, you are looking at broken wires mate , where the wires run from the tail get to to the car the wires are put under a bending strain ,every time you open and close the lid/tail gate ,you need to pull the loom out so you can see the break in the wires .
