    Hey guys,

I'm something of a gadget head and have a few items in my car that need power, my car has a single socket next to the ashtray and that's all she wrote.

In order to do something about this I'd like to run at least 2 switched live feeds to 12v/5v inverters and hook up panel mounted USB sockets to them, not necessarily on the dash, more likely in the centre console and glove box.

    I guess my questions are...
    1. Does anyone know if there are spare switched feeds from the fuse box I can use?
    2. Does anyone have a source of in-line inverters?
    3. Does anyone have a source of panel mounted USB slots?

I have been looking on Google but my google-fu is weak at the moment, I'll keep on and report back whatever happens, but I would appreciate any ideas.

    Glenn.

Okay so after a bit of a mammoth search session, I've managed to come up with a plan.

    I'm going to buy
    2xDC/DC Converter
More than 2xFemale USB type A Jacks
The Ashtray replacement insert from BMW (Although I might just hack up the Ashtray itself and buy this if I want to return to standard).
    Materials to make a Faceplate.
    2x2 pin connectors.
    2xinline bladed fuse holders

This combined with my dremel and some effort should give me double inline USB power supplies hidden away under the ashtray door, pics and build log to follow when I have all the parts.
