    Hi guys, need a quick reply on this if thats ok as i'm goin away tomorrow.

    Can i put in a 100 watt Halogen bulbs in without fear of burning out the switch. I ask this as I was once told it would on my old Passat. My wife is looking after the car while im away and she does more B road driving than I do and I want her to see the road lol

    You will be looking at damaging your housing more like. Plastic lens on an E46 and the wiring is not geared up to the heat.

    100watt bulbs are also illegal for road use. Have you considered getting some better bulbs? Philips Xtreme Vision are highly rated - http://www.powerbulbs.com/
