    Try taking it apart and fiddling with the mounting springs/re greasing the control arms.

    You may also have to use some light sandpaper to brush some grip back into the rubber that holds the discs for spinning but this is pretty indepth if you have never taken a changer or cd reader apart. RW discs are also a no no in any car cd changer as they are harder to read and will tend to skip more.

    Most importantly burn at 8x, think of the amount of time you will use those CD's vs the extra 1 or 2 minutes added to the one off burn time.
    i meant the thickness of the disc the cheapos are sometimes very thin , lol

    ive also a similar problem and been reading up and many people have said use a different software as all my gfs copied cds work in the car but one day my disk will work other times it wont.she uses itunes so im going to try that

    mine does this quite often,the disc changer is at fault(on mine,anyway)..when inserting the cartridge it checks each "slot" and sometimes sticks,also does this when selecting another disc from the steering wheel function...i cant even eject the unit via the green button,what i have to do is whack the side of the changer with my fist,and this seems to dislodge it
