I am not that clever with electrics but require a switched live under the bonnet for a chirpstar i have purchased from racing24.de.
Anyone point me in the right direction?
I would prefer to tap into a wire on the drivers side?
The switched live lead on the chirpstar has a 1.5 amp fuse so i presume it only needs a minimal amount of juice?

You can tap off the jump start point where the red striped cable is fed into the junction box above the driver's side strut mount.

It is a fused connection straight to the battery, hence a jump start point

sorry should have made it a bit clearer.
the chirpstar adds a "chirp chirp" sound to the car when locking/unlocking.
plenty of vids on youtube with the chirpstar fitted but can't find any fitting instructions in english anywhere.

i require a switched live(when the ignition is on) besides a constant live.
am i right in presuming the switched live is to dis-arm the chirpstar so it does not sound when the ignition is on? if wired to the indicator with no switched live would it not sound everytime i indicated?????
my plan is to wire the 5amp fused live to the cable you mentioned and the trigger to the front indicator(yellow wire).
i don't really wanna start running wires from the engine bay through the bulkhead if possible.

not figured out what the white and blue wire is for yet, instructions in german.
i have a spare car battery so me thinks wire it up to that first and play about before splicing into anything on the car

If you look at that site, Pin 16 is an ignition live... It's also on the drivers side

If only you were in the EU...then you wouldn't have to fit an alarm unit . I will look up the American model diagrams when I get a chance
