The different part numbers are for the different diameter wire that goes into them.
You will be able to crimp them anyway.
You could just go with 1.0mm-2.5mm and it will be grand.
Cant really see the pin from that picture.
I suggest you remove one from your connector, push on the little tab and it should pull out,and take pics of it
and take pics of the dde where that connectors goes.
Also look at the first thread in this section, you can get connectors off farnell.

    Right,

    So took the thing apart:

    The socket:

    The plug:

    The Pin 1:

    The Pin 2:

    Looks a lot like THIS.

Can't really find it anywhere online though...:S went to Maplins but found nothing similar, guess this points towards the stealership that will charge 15 euros for 10...:S

The pictures wont expand so its still hard to see the pin. What is stamped on the white connector, amp, siemens or tyco?
The picture of you holding the contact, has that contact got a high side on one side or is it high in the top middle?

Hey I expanded the pics, no the ones I linked above look 99,9% identical to the one I have. The ones on your pic wont fit.

As for the plug, it is stamped BMW with a P/N of 7787220. Can't rem of any markings on the other side....

Ah thats better. The ecu has flat male pins and not round as i thought they were.Id say you are spot on with the MLK 1.2 connector.
If you can measure the width of the male pin on the ecu that will be the size of the MLK connecter you need, but id say 1.2 should be it.
    The 1.2 is in millimeters.
The six big blades on the ecu are the MLK 2.8 male.Id try bmw again for a single unit.I may have some spare for the cost of postage if you are
willing to wait a couple of days.

Most likely that linked type MLK 1,2 is the correct one. For some odd reason the plug housings and contacts are not on the parts list for 320d even when the basic DDE module is the same type and that parts list is showing proper parts. CLICK

Yeah, 320d/320td do not list that part but it's through that part that I found the MLK contacts and by the drawing on realoem, looks a lot like it. Dealer will tell me tomorrow. I wonder if I could ask for one from Service instead of ordering as a part and getting 10. This must be pretty common electrical stuff, seems to be used all over the car...
