Yes that loom is the cruise retrofit wiring.
That is all you should need.I have a installation pdf here if you want to pm me your email and ill send it to you.And yes that video is spot on.I made my own loom as its only two short wires and one long one.I didn't cut the wires at the light module,i just tapped in as I hate cutting wires needlessly.I bought the contact pins off bmw and made up my own loom.As in the video three wires into the green plug, two ends to the light module loom and the long blue wire out to the ecu box.Simples

Cool thanks! I got the pdf online too!

Pretty straightforward, was just being lazy as the seller told me it's plug and play for the radio control buttons and was thinking to myself I'll sort the cruise control at a later date. Simple project indeed. Challenge will be on the RHD to find the path for the DDE for cruise control and pull the wire.

Nice project for my next day off! Thanks all for the replies, even if 9 yo, this car is still a pleasure to drive and still pulls strong, I wonder if a remap would still make sense at this age...

Or if your in my neck of the woods ill fit it for €50 .No challenge at all mate just look at the back of the heaterbox(to the left of your clutch pedal)(remove grey foam) where it sits on the transmission tunnel and you will see a piece of corrugated black plastic piping, its through that pipe you route the blue wire out to the ecu by going up and out just above the passengers carpet line to a little hole just under the fusebox, that leads into the plastic box in the engine bay.

So I just installed the harness, everything cool except one thing:

-In the kit I had 2 more contact branches one blue, one black. The BMW referred to a white one for the X60002 connector on the DDE (pin 37).----->see HERE the exact kit I got (61120016012)

None of the contacts I have seem to fit this connector: the long blue A6 of the harness and either of the black and blue additional branches.

What's the size of X60002's contact pins, where can I find them? Went to BMW and they where clueless...:s

Dont worry about the wire colours on the guide as you are retrofitting you can use any colour you like. The short blue wire is an extension wire that gives you extra lenght to reach the dde.I dont know what the black one is for.The pin you refer to is the socket contact,is it not on the end of the short blue or black wires? You have to take apart 58pin plug and insert in place 37.Post up pictures of your x60002 and the part of the dde where the 58 pin plug goes so i can see what type contacts is there, close up as best you can.I was lucky when doing my retrofit as i had a scrap e36 to get all i needed off.Bmw were clueless because you didnt have a part number to give them.

Yes the black and blue extensions do have them, it's not the same size and shape as X60002's connector. I took the connector apart no problem, it's just that the fitted socket contacts wont fit in it.

Yeah saw those, but which one? Each number have different sizes. And BMW charges 2 euros for each, comes in bag of 10! :(

Found a pic on the net, blue square is where I need to make the connection, it's the metal bit that slides in that I miss...
