    Hi Guys

i got leds, (umnizas) and they are f*cking bright

even on a bright summers day they can still be seen

you dont get the problems with ballasts burning out, and cold start problems either

I've just bought some LED ones for £50 second hand (£70 new on ebay) and they are bright. I've got sealed units so just need a nice weekend to get them fitted

my E36 lights had 4 swappable T5 LED's in each ring so they were really bright and loved the fact they were upgradable with ultra bright ones

Depends if you like the look enough? Personally I could find a better use for £70 than upgrading AE's but life would be dull if we were all the same

I've never had the CCFL ones myself but as mentioned by sam1832 I like the LED as they will light up instantly. I'd dare say they are easily repaired as it's simply a ring of 70 or so LEDs in my rings. Even if 1 or 2 failed then I don't think you would even see it anyway but the cover pops off the ring easily enough so you can see the LEDs directly if need be

Thats interesting, The CCFL ones cost me a bit to buy and fit so I think i'll stick to them until they stop working then finally upgrade to the LED's.
