    only reason i came here is after doing the fix for a cutomer that told me that some people were having similar probs here but hey i`m here better late than never lol

    Now this company certainly knows about the GM5 module problems. Relays for 7.50 Euros....CLICKY. Follow the link at the end and give them a call about shipping to the UK . Dead simple to fix these by yourself

    sorry to bring this up again guys, ive emailed the bloke from here just to double check this is for the relays concerned with the central locking issues.

    The thing I want to check is when I take the control module out of the car what exactly does it stop? e.g is it still drivable?

    windows,c/locking,wipers,alarm (i think ) but i`ve never moved the vehicles when i`ve done the repairs

    The EWS will need it so doubt if your car will be drivable.

    Neal for the stupid in us whats EWS? but thanks for letting me know as if i send it to them looks like it will be the best part of 14 days till i get it back,

    Basically...EWS is your whole alarm/immobiliser system
