    Hi
My 2003 E46 320D SE heated rear window has stopped working, I have checked the fuse in the glovebox but its fine. The light on the console works but nothing is happening. Unfortunatly its started to freeze again and I cannot defrost the rear window.
I have no proplems with the radio or rear light just the heater are there any more fuses other than the ones in the glove box, Or any relays? If so where might I find them?
looking at the rear window there are 4 tracks that look broken down the left hand side is this what is causing the problem if so can it be fixed?

    Can anybody help with this?

    Cheers jim 320D

You could take down the trim either side of the window, there will be 1 wire each side (possible more, the rest might be for the aerial, look for the thickest cable) put a multimeter across the two and turn on the rear heated screen, if you get 12volts (possibly a little bit more) then the problem is with the actual screen itself such as the broken tracks.
If you don't get 12v the problem is either with the switch, fuse or relay. if the light comes on it's not the switch and you said the fuse is ok which would mean it's probably the relay.

Not entirely sure where all the relays are in the E46 though. i'm sure someone else could help out with that.
