When driving down country lanes in the dark my head lights seem to be quite dull and don't light the road up too good. I was thinking of upgrading to these:

Has anyone tried these or similar bulbs that claim to increase the light on the road by 90%. If so do they work well?

I've upgraded to those types of bulbs that claim to be upto 90% brighter and they really did make a difference. Also cleaning the layer of dirt that had appeared on my headlights help!

Yep, you'd be amazed how much a difference it makes even when your headlights don't look very dirty.

Also, you should have a dip adjustment wheel/knob - setting that to your preference gets the light pointing where you want it.

I'd love to upgrade to HID's at some point, just a matter of budget.
