    Hi there!

Basically I'm having issues trying to get in my car. When using the key fob the car locks perfectly, but at times (quite often), it refuses to open up. The interior lights turn on when trying to unlock, which tell me that the key fob is working fine. This issue also occurs whilst I'm in the vehicle too. Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Get a diagnostic done to see if you have a problem with the ZKE (General Module)

Did you get a diagnostic scan done yet?

You could be suffering with failing C/L relays, unfortunately it is a known fault.
Take a look at this thread and see if you're having the same issues HERE, its a bit of a lengthy read
but it'll save yourself a small fortune if you do have the same fault

    GM5 Module £300 + recoding at dealers £???

    Hi guys!

To be honest, I haven't had a chance to get anything checked over diagnostically, its more or less an assumption, as I figured out that it couldn't be the key! Plus a holiday to California doesn't really help! Neither do family member who work in the motor trade, who promise to bring over a diagnostics tool, but some how forget....(alcohol related memory problems). Will try getting hold of any codes asap!

    Cheers for the Thread SlowTech!

As a stop gap try removing fuse No.60 in glove box fuses, it will leave you without C/L, fuel flap is unlockable but the boot still operates

Well.... I've got the fault Code(s) now I'll list them out.
The one that you were probably looking for is there..... 29 "Relay for central locking, unlocking".

Guess this means a new relay!

    But I also have;
81 "DWA alarm memory: door contact, driver's door",
8A "DWA alarm memory: passenger-comp. sensor, front",
89 "DWA alarm memory: pitch sensor",
85 "DWA alarm memory: rear lid"

    What are these about?

    Cheers

btw, I've been looking over the tinternet, and this really is a bugger to find or get hold of, I've tried the links in the thread, but a lot of them seem to have either expired, or changed!

only person that seems to be selling it is thee Scott Johnson, as mentioned in the thread. its cost just over £12.13 for the relay and shipping.......

TBH I'm not sure about the alarm codes, looks like they've been triggered but they could have been stored for some time.

I've just checked the links and all ok for me except one of them

Also you need 2 relays for the C/L see the image from Scotts Website, I'm sure he won't mind me posting it up
