    Hey Guys

I Know Sam's done a good write up on this but I don't understand some of the information he's given on his thread (Am waiting for his PM back) so am asking the forum for some more help on the matter

basically I have connected them up to the old side light cables, which works fine, and they come on with no problems when i switch the side lights on.

However i have now decided to create the remote turn on feature with the interior lights,

i have spliced into the positive lead on the driver side angel eyes, and run a cable with a diode in the middle, to the positive lead on the driver side foot-well light.

I then ran a cable from the positive lead on the driver side angel eyes, to the positive lead on the passenger side angel eyes,

    What do I do next?

    Look here....

The pic below is the wire/relay harness from the SMD LED Angeleyes (but can be used on the ccfls) For ease of installation, each connection has been numbered with a corresponding description/where to connect info.

    KEY:
    1. Relay - to be mounted close to the power supply

    2. Fuse- last item to be installed, so remove from socket first

    3. Power Supply-connect to positive terminal of battery (engine bay) or for rear mounted batteries connect to the positive point (under a black cap on the drivers side in engine bay)

    4. Ground - mounted on one of the suspension turret bolts

    5. Brown wire - goes through the fire wall into the footwell light, connect to the positive (blue/red) strip colour wire of the light assembly connection The reason for this connection is so your halos illuminate when you hit the remote button open, lock or even to open the trunk.

    6. Connect to angel eye 1 (drivers side) most kits have both the positive and ground wires in this part of the loom.

    7. pink wire - EITHER:

    a) connect to ACC wire in ECU loom (behind the fusebox...takes a bit of dismantling to get to. Most websites refer to a white/red or white/red with yellow flecks but i think i tested nearly every cable under there and couldn't find an ignition switched 12v, so I ran a fresh cable from the car side radio loom (red wire) into the same space as the footwell light. This gets the Angel eyes to work as DRL's (on when you switch the ignition on) OR

    b) tap into the positive wire of your sidelight for the angel eyes to come on when you switch on your sidelights.

    8. Connect to angel eye 2 (passenger side) I have a 328i Convertible (battery in boot) so i ran the cable in the box under the windscreen, just need to unclip a few tabs)

Once done, just replace the fuse and enjoy!

Not sure why the relay setup cannot be used with ccfls?? Doesn't sound right to me. I'm using leds but loads of people I know r running ccfls with the same setup.

I made mine up myself using a relay, relay holder, fuse holder and different colour wires, fairly simple. Just use the the pic above as a guide.
