My Dash flagged up a blow front left bulb yesterday then went off, then came back in in a matter of seconds.

I turned off the engine and restarted, I indicated left and the front left bulb appeared on the dash, I indicated right and the rear drivers side bulb indicator flagged up.

I restarted the engine again, this time it flagged up again and the ticker was going double the speed when i indicated left and right.

I then decided to make sure the connection was secure on the rear left light housing and after I made sure the connection was tight (which it seemed to be) the lights went out and the ticker is back to normal speed.

    There were no blown bulbs?

Any suggestions on what may have caused this?

    Thanks

if there was a short it would blow a fuse,

a dead short would cause the current to go high, and the fuse would blow

are all the bulbs you have fitted standard? ie no led's? no angel eyes? etc. etc.

if after you checked the conection on the back, and it went back to normal, i would say that this points to either the conections on the back of the light or the wireing near there,

As tocuhing it may have disturbed it,

To check, get a friend to help, get them to sit in car with lights on, and have a fiddle and wiggle of the wireing going into the back of the light, if there is anything a miss there the obc will throw up all the the lights again,

Double speed is an age old thing which means that one of the bulbs is not working. Sounds a little more complex than a bulb gone tho mate
