Hi, I'm new here tonight, so apologise if this subject is a repeat. I have a tailgate that refuses to open. My urgency is because my wheelchair is now trapped in the boot! The fault was intermittent for a few days last summer, but has been fine ever since. The glass panel opens fine, so I presume there is a fault at the handle. Is there a manual over-ride somewhere? Thanks, Dave

I'm not sure about your exact model of car but mine has an emergency release pull inside the toolbox on the inside of the tailgate. Had to use mine when the battery failed. Sorry if this doesn't apply to your car but you never know
