Today i got a "Drive System" error message flash up and it was indicating a fault with the Dynamic Stability Control.

I switched off the engine and restarted and it still came up.

However having driven for a while then stopped the engine for 5 minutes and restarted it dissapeared.

I did notice that whilst the error was up, the indicator self cancelling was not working, don't know if this is relevant

However it all seems to be working now. anybody got any ideas what could have caused this?

You really need to get the BMW fault codes read for the car, it may be a wheel speed sensor fault or similar. Any BMW indy garage or main dealer will be able to do this for you, but the indy will be far cheaper, .

It's a early warning of problems to come, if it has started to illuminate then it will become more frequent.

Then it will just stay on, and depending on what light it is may end up being expensive if left.
