first of all id like to just say ,,,, HELLO.

im new to this forum and joined tonight as id thought it would be handy to join the forum now i own a e39

    i have a problem , i own a 2003 facelift e39 520i se (2.2)
i have normal halogen headlights not xenon/hid, but obviously have the glass bulb/lense for xenon conversion. I bought a LUMENUX HID PLUG AND PLAY kit from ebay and when it arrived originaly it was fine, the kit worked plug and play but bulb holder was incorrect (NOT L SHAPE the one i needed)... anyways.
basically new kit came tonight and i think it will fit,

PROBLEM is the kit plugs together simple enough BALLAST PACK TO BULBS ETC but im left with a negative & postive lead on each bulb, ive tried plugging the ballast pack into the main power for the bulb hoping the + & - were not needed but they didnt power up.
SO. i then tried putting the + & - direct into the power where i took the L shape bulb from and they dont go in

i dont want to sound dumb but is it just a case of getting power to these points and the kit will fire up? or what please help many thanks sorry for the long story to get to the point. ive tried looking in DIY and only seen a 3 series how to and that just has two clips you plug into, mine is like a oblong block

instructions are a general plug up instruction inside the box, genreal clip this into this and mentions cut 25mm hole into rubber plugg thing but i dont think i have a problem as i think inside that rubber thing the bulb holder will just turn 90degrees and lock as usuall bulb does, it the power i have the problem with,

thats the same as mine i THINK i pushed the two wires red and black into my exsiting wiring harness used on the standard lights if that makes sense?? the little black block that clips onto the back of the bulb push them into there and you should have power. I tried it while my lights where on so as soon as i had a connection I knew about it I got blinded but dont try this as you may blow the bulb
