Hi guys, came across a problem today. I turned the car on and on the dash OBC computer it showed a picture of the car and a circle with 3 dashes coming out of the rear drivers side tail light? Anyone know what this means? I haven't got my manual on me as i'm away from home.

Also, it seems to be intermittent. When i used the car again today, there was no light, and then when i got into it again in the evening, it came on for a second when i turned the car on and went off again!

Check that the wiring to the tail lamps is not loose Kev. Also, see if the bulb is making contact...rubbing the base of the bulb with a bit of sand paper will help get rid of corrosion. If it continues to happen, then replace the bulb/s ...if still there, then the connector block and bases connection will need cleaning.

    Brown wire is ground.

And a new ground connection fitted, make sure it's connected to the correct terminal!

The plastic guard will just clip off revealing the bulb assembly

The joys of electrics, slight vibrations when driving AND the poor connection generates heat, which can eventually burn the wiring out, although that's a worst case scenario but one I have heard.
