Had an ipod conection put into my car, it plugged into the CD multi changer wire, making the CD changer unusable now.
The ipod works ok apart from the data/text doesn't appear on the built in Nav screen, the installing company got it to work but only basically and not as it should with the help of the ipod link manifacturer.
When it was getting the nav and computer in the car set up to work the text from the ipod it brought up a telephone part to the index which it never had before.
The text from the ipod worked as I said before (not as it should) but it would say the song name under a "hands free" telephone part of the index and the computer and sat nav wouldn't work anymore.
The supplier/installer and manifacturer said this was down to the Nav being "phone prep'd" and would need the phone box being unpluged, I looked in the boot next to the computer for the phone box (where it was suposed to be) with the installers and couldn't find it. The installers looked all over the car and couldn't find the phone box.
So now the ipod works but has no on screen text.
Does somebody know if there is a phone box to unplug or are they talking sh1t and telling me a story because they cant get it to work.
I paid to have a fully working ipod conection with data/text and they aint given it to me and blame my car, so I should be within my rights to have a refund and get the ipod connection removed and get somebody who knows what they are doing to do the job.
This is the ipod connector http://densionice.co.uk/DensionGatew...Fc792AodYWLWvA
If there is a phone box to unplug they say the system will work 100%.
I feel like I am being lied to but dont want to kick off till I know what I talking about.
