Can you please tell me if the rear number plate bulbs (xenon type) will fit straight into my E46 saloon? I've read about certain bulbs causing problems with the dash check control system. What do I need to do to fit this type of festoon bulb. I believe the standard replacement bulbs for my car are
    11 x 38mm 12V - 10W. According to realoem.com the ones for an E92 are
12V 5W (BMW part 63217160805). Is the whole bulb holder and connector completely different as well?
