If you are trying to update using a BMW v32 update or similar, there are certain tags in the software that looks for BMW original firmware. Maybe that why you are having a problem.

Don't know of anyone who has updated BMW firmware in a Rover sat nav before. Have you checked on a Rover forum?

Hi again have had a look round theres a bit about it but most say your stuck with what you have firmware wise . It works well with the bmw map disc 08 its just that theres no split screen mode and no splash screen 3 colour modes a day and night mode trip computer works, will have to stay with this until I find a bmw mk4 at the right price thanks for your help
