I am swapping the heated standard front seats in my car for a pair of (seconhand) Sport seats.

As most will appreciate, the chances of buying seats that are the correct colour and heated is essentially zero.

I will be getting any seats that I buy reupholstered, I want to get heating pads added at the same time. Particulalry as I've heard rumours that the heating pads are fixed to the original upholstery (glued on ?).

Unfortunately the aftermarket ones advertised widely are 2 heat settings whilst BMW uses 3 settings.

I can't find anything on the RealOEM list (and BMW ones would probably be horrendously expensive anyway).

Anyone know of a source of ones which can be used as direct retrofit for the BMW ones ?

    Regards

    Peter

the original heated elements are sown in.
if you use your existing wiring you will get 3 stage heating from any eliments you buy
as they are controled from the switch panel, but just make sure you buy carbon eliments
and not the cheaper wire eliments as the carbon can be cut to size and heat a lot faster.
