    my key has stopped operating doors on my e46 coupe, is there a battery inside that you can change, and if so hw do you open up key.

    If it's the diamond shaped key, then it should be rechargeable. See HERE if it needs replacing.

    have been using key a lot in this weather to auto open and close windows which could of possibly run down battery. i have been for a 25 minute drive and key still not operating, would that be long enough to charge battery or does it need longer.

    The key should never run down unless in has not been used for a very long time like over a year or so.
