    Hi

Are there different motors which control the movement of an electric seat? The drivers seat in my 325Ci will move every way except forwards and backwards so I was wondering if that movement was controled by a different motor which has maybe packed up.
When I try to move the seat forwards/backwards I just get 'click' sound.

If this turns out to be the case is it interchangeable with the pasenger seat motor (which is working fine)?

    Thanks,
    Rik

Yes, you have 5 different motors connected to the memory module and activated by hall sensors for seat movement. The driver's and passenger motor is interchangeable as they are the same part.
