    Hi,

This morning when driving to work after not touching anything (e.g air con, radio, windows etc) my radio went to full volume and is stuck there.

Neither the volume knob or the steering buttons can change that. radio has been switched off and on etc and car turned off etc.

    Anyone heard of this?

Is there a way to factory reset the radio?
I take it if i do this i then have to find a code to unlock it?

    Thanks in advance

The stereos are not coded. Have you tried adjusting the speed volume setting?

do a thread search. this problem has raised its head before. be prepared for bad news though as I am sure it ended with the head unit being replaced. The details on the relevent thread mentioned some part of the pcb area that had gone terminal resulting in the same fault.

New head unit required is worse case scenario, but be ready for it anyway.
