    hi the other halfs car is starting to get to me.the dam rear lights keep throwing the car sign with the rear lights in the dash.Drivers brake light/passanger indicator. Every time i look at the bulbs there fine.give the indicator a thump it works again the brake light take out the bulb put back in its fine.
    After about 10/15mins it comes on again still the same again remove refit.i have tried ajusting the contacts and spreying the terminals with WD40 and its still the same. any ideas as to what it could be or has any one had this prob as i am really cheesed off.

    Sorry forgat to say its a e46 320d 02 plate.

    Check the pins and connector block where it goes in to the rear of the bulb holders. The pins usually corrode and burn out the connector block...:(

    Maybe the bulb is on its way out?

    I've got a similar problem! I'm about to post photos of the culprit on this forum..... 5 mins and you'll see the problem with mine.
