    Hi,
I just got my first BMW,

On the dash cluster i noticed that it showed a light signal on the front of the car, i got home by then it had gone,
and it did it again today, so i when i put my sidelights on the ns indicator light comes on but when i turn on the xenons the ns indicator turns off?!?!?!

    any ideas

The side light has gone out, keep the ignition off and turn on the side lights(first setting on your light switch), you should/will see a light out, the indicator comes on as a safety feature, will require a new bulb, Bosch number BLB501B, Lucas number LLB501B, it's a "501" style bulb, sometimes called a "capless" bulb

Could be a bad connection at the lights. Make sure the bulbs are making a good contact in the light fittings

Unless it's the light control module starting to play up, they do do it, it's usually a dipped beam that goes though.

I would still suspect a bulb at the mo though

If the rear keeps doing it then check the rear light plug connection, and check the bulbs are clean and not corroded e.t.c

The rear light fault can be a common problem, see here http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/...p/B630306g.htm
