I have moved this thread to the auto electrical forum and retitled it to something a bit more useful

I've also attempted this mfsw and cruise control retrofit.

Have wired in loom and radio controls now work on steering wheel, however as my car is a m47n engine i need an extra wire pin adaptor to plug the loom into dde.

Where can i find this extra wire adapter as it wasnt part of the cable set i got from stealers?

Well i managed to get the adapter i needed from the stealer - and it only cost a quid !!!!

My MFSW and cruise control retrofit are now fully working.

    Am well chuffed!!!!

Incidentally, this pic shows what pin connector should be used for a M47n engine car-

No part number, its in the electrics box below the bonnet - all will become clear when you remove the cover!!

I got the button panel of ebay and fitted it to my existing wheel - £30
    Wiring harness from stealer - £16 (part no: B61 12 0 016 012)
    Additional adapter plug for m47n engined cars - £1 (part no: B61 13 0 005 201)

Total cost £47 compared to over £220 dealer price!!!
