    hi guys,

my airbag light is on in my e46, and i am going to the garage tomorrow to hopefully have it reset, but i have read that some peoples OBDII ports dont work on the 320D, so i was wondering if there is another port to plug into to reset the light and get a fault code list?

    thanks

    jon

Early E46's had a round 20 pin port under the bonnet near the master cylinder reservoir, then they had a mix of the 20 pin under the bonnet and the 16 pin EOBD plug which is under the drivers side dash, inline with the throttle pedal. Later e46's had only the EOBD plug under the dash. Which yours will be.

Some of the earlier E46's had the 20 pin, round connector in the engine bay, as well as the 16 pin under the steering wheel !

Your car will have one, or both ! I'm not sure when they stopped using the 20 pin !

The garage you take it too should be able to turn the light off either way !

EDIT: Ronnie got there before me - With slightly better detail
