so if i've got this right you got replacement bulb holders and rear lenses?

from the link in your original post they are advertised as a direct replacement, i dont think you should need to hack up your wiring to fit them tbh. have you tried speaking to the ppl you got them from to see if they can offer any advise??

thats right mate. didnt think i should need to either. meant to be a straight swap. sh0x successfully modded his set, cut the red fog light and spliced onto the orange cable. took it to my local shop who did some some of current test and then cut them for me. alls working now. theres definately something not right with the stock unit though. should have been a plug and play affair!

result i suppose then, how much did you have to pay for the wiring mod? and did you get double reverse lights in the end?

ashamed to say i paid a tenner for the wiring to be done. but to be honest i dont have the tools, nor knowledge, or the balls to piss about with car electrics so it was worth it. though i know i got mugged lol.

only one reverse light on the passener side, and the fog light on the driver side. be interesting to get two fogs and two reverse installed though. not sure if thatll throw an error so might not be worth doing!

components were probably pennies that the auto electrician used, but a tenners not that bad really at least you knows it been done right, and more importantly your back end now looks how you want it!

Kev, Hi, I have been through the old burned earth problem and eventually bought the repair kit. question is, how do I release the pin connectors from the old, burned, muti pin plug ? i hope you are still on the air. Cheers, Gordon.
